Annette McQueenMrs. McQ and Bear

Mrs. McQueen began her teaching career on Honshu island, Japan, at Nagoya International School. From there she moved to California and taught for a couple of years before moving to the Olympia area where she taught in the North Thurston School District. She was fortunate to receive special teacher training from a state grant called, Schools for the 21st Century.

From there, she took some time away from public education to have her own babies, Hannah and Tara, and run a private tutoring service for children. Eventually, she returned to work in the Olympia School District as a special education teacher, a classroom teacher, and then a teacher-librarian.

You may see Mrs. McQueen on the weekends teaching yoga, walking her dogs, or shopping for organic produce.
