To help streamline things for our busy families we’ve created the following short checklist of items for you:

  • Complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application to find out if your student will qualify for a reduced or free school lunch. Did you know that completing an application is also important beyond individual family benefits? Free and reduced-price eligibility helps determine funding and resources available to our schools and students, so participation helps ensure the district receives the support for which it qualifies. Please take a moment to complete the online form. If you prefer a paper form contact the school office.

  • Sign into ParentSquare - our communication app. We use ParentSquare in a variety of ways to communicate with you regarding school alerts, general informational posts, and even direct messages to parents regarding a variety of issues that might arise with your student during the school day. By registering an account in ParentSquare you are able to:

    • Access historical communications

    • Edit and update communication preferences

    • Update family contact information

    • Access additional communication features as they are announced

  • Add the Pioneer Office phone number (360-596-6500) to your contacts list. During the school day the office or school nurse may need to contact you regarding your student. Adding our number to your contacts helps assure you know when we are calling you.

  • Write your student’s name in coats, jackets, lunchboxes and water bottles. When names are written on items, students and staff can easily identify the owner of the item and this significantly reduces the unclaimed lost and found items.

  • Are you hoping to volunteer at school activities or chaperone on a field trip? Be sure to complete the OSD Volunteer Application so you are ready to help! Remember the volunteer application does need to be completed every year to renew your volunteer approval status.
