Take our 2023 Family Survey

Our district values your feedback! We encourage families to take a few moments to complete the 2023 Family Survey between March 29 and April 16, 2023. ​ We are surveying OSD families, staff, and students in grades 3-12, about their experiences at school. Responses will provide invaluable insights into how we can improve and adapt our district to meet our students’ needs.

Budget work session and public forums set

The Olympia School Board has scheduled a work session on March 30, and three community forums — one on March 28 and two more on April 10, to discuss and receive community feedback about a list of possible 2023-24 districtwide budget reductions.

Knox 111 Administrative Center Doors to be Locked

Effective on Monday, March 6, 2023, all doors leading into the Knox 111 Administrative Center will be locked during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The locked doors are consistent with security practices in Olympia School District schools, where entry doors are locked during the school day.

Transitional Kindergarten at Madison Elementary

Our new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) pilot program is off and running at Madison Elementary School! TK provides free full-day schooling for students who have not participated in a regular early childhood program. This program is designed to support students who face barriers to future school success. Students can be eligible to participate in this program the spring semester prior to their kindergarten year.
