Mrs. Spohn, a California native, began her teaching career as a first grade teacher in Orange County. She then taught fifth grade for three years and kindergarten for four years at schools in the Lake Elsinore School District. After a move to Olympia, Washington, she was extremely fortunate to become the kindergarten teacher at Pioneer School, where she still teaches after 22 years!

Mrs. Spohn has three fabulous children, who all attended Olympia schools on the "rival" west side. In her spare time, she loves being with her family and cat, traveling to warm and sunny places, eating chips and salsa, and watching a good TV show after a long day.
