Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and School Site (Community) Council

The Parent Teacher Association recruits and organizes volunteer coordinators who in turn recruit room parents to assist each classroom throughout the year. Teachers organize volunteers who work in the classrooms on a daily basis. Support is also given by the PTA for enrichment programs and activities.

6:00 p.m., Pioneer Library. Childcare Provided.

PTA memberships support Pioneer kids through enrichment opportunities and special activities!

Annual dues are $12 for one adult member, $20 for a family (two adults), $25 to be a "Pioneer Pal," which includes a membership and donation, or the guilt-free membership for $30 (active status, but we'll never see you at a meeting).

To sign-up, pick up a flyer in the office or call 352-3308 to have a flyer sent home. If you would like to have PTA minutes, agendas and meeting updates e-mailed to you, please e-mail PTA President Meg Goehle at ngoehle@comcast.net to be placed on the list.

School Site Council (School-Community Council)

All those interested in attending are welcome.

The purpose of the School-Community Council is to serve as a policy level advisory board to evaluate and make recommendations regarding:

  • The improvement of student learning.
  • The expansion of parental and community involvement and communication.
  • The improvement of the work environment for educators.

The intent of the Council is to be an action-oriented body that makes an impact on the quality of the educational environment at Pioneer.
